Job summary

EY in India seeks an Integration Architect with 15+ years of IT experience to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise integration solutions, hands-on with IBM ACE and CP4I.

You will provide architecture leadership across API management, messaging, event-driven architecture, and microservices, while mentoring teams and translating business needs into practical technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, secure enterprise integration solutions using IBM ACE.
• Be hands-on in designing and developing IBM ACE applications, including complex integration flows, APIs, messaging, transformations, and error-handling frameworks.
• Provide architecture leadership across integration, API management, messaging, event-driven architecture, and microservices.
• Define integration standards, design patterns, reusable frameworks, and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to development teams and ensure adherence to architecture and engineering standards.
• Lead technical discussions with clients as a trusted advisor and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Participate in solutioning, estimations, architecture reviews, and client presentations.
• Drive delivery excellence by identifying risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and mitigation strategies.
• Work with Business Analysts and Product Owners to understand requirements and translate into technical solutions.
• Understand and contribute to BA and delivery activities, including requirements analysis, user stories, acceptance criteria, planning, estimation, and stakeholder management.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the complete SDLC—from requirements and architecture through development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Integration Architect – 15+ Years Experience

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Integration Architect with 15+ years of IT experience to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise integration solutions. The candidate should be hands‑on with IBM ACE, have exposure to IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I), and be capable of acting as a trusted technical advisor to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, secure, resilient enterprise integration solutions using IBM ACE and related integration technologies.
• Be hands‑on in designing and developing IBM ACE applications, including complex integration flows, APIs, messaging, transformations, and error‑handling frameworks.
• Provide architecture leadership across integration, API management, messaging, event‑driven architecture, and microservices.
• Define integration standards, design patterns, reusable frameworks, and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to development teams and ensure adherence to architecture and engineering standards.
• Lead technical discussions with clients and act as a trusted technical advisor, understanding business needs and translating them into practical technology solutions.

Required Technical Skills

• 15+ years of overall IT experience, with significant experience in enterprise integration.
• Strong hands‑on experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
• Experience in designing and developing IBM ACE applications.
• Exposure to IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) and containerised integration platforms.
• Strong understanding of API‑led, service‑oriented, event‑driven, and microservices architectures.
• Good understanding of Kafka / event streaming and asynchronous integration patterns.
• Working knowledge/exposure to Java and ability to understand Java‑based integration components.
• Strong understanding of REST, SOAP, APIs, messaging, MQ, JSON, XML, and data transformation.
• Understanding of integration security concepts including OAuth, JWT, TLS/SSL, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring, logging, and production support is highly desirable.

• Ability to operate confidently in client‑facing and consulting environments.

• Ability to lead technical teams and mentor architects/developers.
• Comfortable working across architecture, delivery, BA, and business stakeholder responsibilities.

• Should be able to balance architecture with hands‑on technical execution.
• Should demonstrate ownership from solution inception through production delivery.
• Ability to evaluate technology choices, perform trade‑off analysis, and recommend pragmatic solutions.
• Strong understanding of non‑functional requirements such as scalability, availability, performance, security, resiliency, and maintainability.
• Experience in modernization, migration, and transformation programmes is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in distributed/global teams and manage multiple priorities.
