Job summary

Ibexlabs, based in Hyderabad, is seeking a Snowflake DBT Developer with 5+ years in cloud data warehousing and ELT. You will design, develop, and optimize data transformation pipelines using DBT on Snowflake, collaborating with data architects and analysts to deliver scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Data Warehousing projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with DBT (mandatory and primary skill), with expertise in developing and maintaining scalable data transformation pipelines.
• Good working knowledge of Snowflake, SQL, data modeling, and modern ELT best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable data transformation solutions using Snowflake DBT.
• Build and maintain robust ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, validation, and reporting.
• Develop and optimize DBT models, macros, snapshots, seeds, and tests to support enterprise data platforms.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient and reusable data transformation solutions.
• Perform data quality checks, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of DBT models and Snowflake workloads.
• Collaborate with data architects, data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, data governance policies, best practices, and documentation requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, release deployments, and CI/CD processes for DBT projects.
• Independently manage assigned deliverables and provide production support for critical data transformation workflows.

We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake DBT Developer with at least 5+ years of experience in cloud data warehousing, data transformation, and modern ELT development. The ideal candidate must possess strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake DBT as the primary skill, along with good working knowledge of SQL and data modeling concepts. The candidate should be capable of working independently in a fast-paced delivery environment and managing end-to-end data transformation and analytics engineering deliverables.
