About the Company:

DB Power Ltd (Dainik Bhaskar Group Co.) is building a scalable C&I – focused renewable energy platform, targeting approximately 1 GW of renewable capacity over the next two years, comprising 750 MW Solar, 250 MW Wind and 750 MWh BESS.

The platform will serve A+ credit – rated C&I customers, directly and through channel partners, with an objective of delivering ~20% equity IRR. The initial focus is on Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, leveraging STU transmission.

The Role:

We are looking for a hands‑on and commercially oriented Manager / Senior Manager – Accounts to strengthen and scale the Accounts & Financial Control function as the renewable energy business expands.

The role will be responsible for project accounting, financial closure, statutory compliance, management reporting and financial controls across multiple projects and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs). The incumbent will work closely with the CFO and collaborate with teams across project development, commercial, project finance, taxation, treasury and operations to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong governance and effective financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Accounting & Financial Control: Manage accounting and financial control activities across Solar, Wind and BESS projects, including project development costs, Capital Work-in-Progress (CWIP), capitalization, fixed assets and depreciation.
• Financial Closure & Reporting: Drive monthly, quarterly and annual financial closures, account reconciliations, preparation of financial statements and Ind AS reporting.
• MIS & Management Reporting: Prepare periodic MIS, project-wise financial reports, budget-versus-actual analysis and management dashboards to support business decisions.
• SPV & Multi-Project Accounting: Maintain robust accounting and reporting processes across project entities, SPVs and multiple locations, ensuring consistency, accuracy and timely reporting.
• Taxation & Statutory Compliance: Oversee GST, Income Tax, TDS and other applicable statutory compliances, including timely filings, reconciliations, assessments and audit coordination.
• Audit & Internal Controls: Coordinate statutory and internal audits, strengthen internal financial controls, implement SOPs and ensure adherence to accounting policies and governance standards.
• Project Finance Support: Work closely with Project Finance and Treasury teams on financial closure, project funding, lender reporting, fund utilisation tracking and financial information requirements.
• Budgeting & Financial Analysis: Support annual budgeting, forecasting, project cost monitoring, variance analysis and evaluation of project financial performance and returns.
• C&I Commercial Accounting: Coordinate with commercial teams on customer contracts, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), billing, revenue recognition, receivables, collections and reconciliation of power‑related transactions.
• Working Capital & Cash Flow: Monitor receivables, payables, working capital requirements and project-level cash flows, highlighting potential risks and improvement opportunities.
• Systems & Process Improvement: Drive standardisation, process automation and effective utilisation of ERP and accounting systems to improve reporting quality and operational efficiency.
• Team Management & Stakeholder Coordination: Lead and develop the Accounts team while coordinating effectively with internal stakeholders, auditors, consultants, lenders and other external parties.

What We Are Looking For:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with approximately 10+ years of relevant experience, depending on the level of appointment.
• Relevant experience in Renewable Energy, Power Generation, Infrastructure, EPC or related industries.
• Hands‑on exposure to Solar and/or Wind projects; exposure to BESS will be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of project accounting, CWIP, capitalization, fixed assets, depreciation and SPV-level accounting.
• Good knowledge of Ind AS, financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliance and audit processes.
• Experience in monthly and annual financial closure, MIS, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Exposure to project finance, lender reporting, fund management and project financial monitoring.
• Familiarity with C&I renewable energy, open access, group captive structures, PPAs or power‑sector commercial arrangements will be preferred.
• Working knowledge of ERP/accounting systems and a track record of improving financial processes and internal controls.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills, with a hands‑on approach to execution.
• Ability to work in a fast‑growing, multi‑project environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
