Job summary

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator (Postgres DBA) to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Database Administration: Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MSSQL databases.
• Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize database performance for scalability and efficiency.
• Backup and Recovery: Implement and test backup and disaster recovery plans.
• Cross-Platform Support: Manage databases on both Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Proficiency in SQL, shell scripting, and database monitoring tools.
• Solid understanding of replication, clustering, and high availability setups.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Good to have:

• Exposure to Postgress/ Mongo cloud database services (OCI)
• Familiarity monitoring tools like ops manager, Prometheus and Grafana, SolarWinds
• Knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes.
