Role Overview
Helps to ensure stable and well-performing Oracle solutions that meet business demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively engages with Key Business Users to receive feedback, gauge satisfaction with system integrations, and address issues or concerns.
- Collaborates with GSI Solutions Director to gather requirements and prioritize data transformation projects.
- Collaborates with GSI Team to deliver efficient and well‑run processes.
- Design, develop, and optimize complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
- Architect and implement scalable and maintainable database schemas to support business applications and analytics.
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and application developers to ensure data integrity and performance.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines using Oracle tools and custom scripts.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
- Participate in code reviews, data modeling sessions, and architectural discussions.
- Ensure database security, backup, and recovery strategies are in place and effective.
- Document database designs, processes, and procedures.
- Coordinate with third parties who provide support for product enhancements, upgrades, patches and application monitoring.
- Partner with other Technical Towers, Lanes, and teams to achieve goals and exceed business expectations.
- Partner with Data Tower.
- Develop Oracle SOP and KBA with the GSI team.
- Handle Oracle service disruptions announcements and EU communications with the GSI team.
- Release Management with GEA teams and Tech CAB.
Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Oracle database development.
- Demonstrated experience successfully planning and implementing Cloud database services in a global company with a multi‑national, multi‑vendor environment.
- Proven track record of achieving service excellence, including maintaining positive stakeholder relationships and coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams with internal and external resources.
- Skills:
- Primary: SQL and PL/SQL, data modeling, schema design, data normalization/denormalization, database architecture, performance tuning, and indexing strategies.
- Secondary: Orchestration & Choreography Architectures.
