Job summary

Epergne Solutions in Indore, India is seeking a Database Administrator to support the implementation, administration, maintenance, and performance of enterprise database systems.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of relevant experience with Microsoft SQL Server, plus knowledge of MySQL or Oracle, backup and recovery (NetBackup), and high-availability technologies such as SQL Server Always On. Experience with Imperva Database Firewall is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in database administration and enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (essential).
• Experience with MySQL and/or Oracle will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of database installation, upgrades, maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with database backup and recovery, including tools such as Symantec NetBackup.
• Knowledge of high-availability and cluster/failover technologies, such as Microsoft Cluster and SQL Server Always On.
• Experience with database security tools such as Imperva Database Firewall will be advantageous.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
