Data Visualization Engineer

100% Remote

Two year contract

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau and Power BI.
• Develop efficient SQL queries and data models in Snowflake for analytics and visualization.
• Collaborate with business teams to translate requirements into analytical insights and visuals.
• Ensure data accuracy, performance optimization, and visualization best practices.
• Work closely with data engineering to ensure smooth data integration and pipeline readiness.
• Troubleshoot issues related to data, performance, or visualization logic.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data visualization.
• Tableau: Advanced dashboard design, calculated fields, LOD expressions, data blending, and performance tuning.
• Power BI: DAX, Power Query (M), data modelling, and row‑level security.
• SQL (Snowflake preferred): Strong query optimization, CTEs, window functions, and data transformation.
• Data Modelling & ETL Understanding: Star/Snowflake schemas, joins, incremental refresh logic.
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret data trends, KPIs, and business metrics.
• Collaboration Tools: Experience with Git, Jira, or similar for versioning and delivery tracking.

Project Details

• You will be part of Shishir's team, Data Analytics CoE head.
• Repository contains BCG analytics on top of Snowflake Data Lake.
• Need resource who can support reporting, require more data visualization, know data engineering as well.
• Three priorities: Tableau, Power BI, SQL.
• SQL will be used to create data for Power BI and Tableau.
• BCG Data Lake is entirely Snowflake.
• Mid-level 5-7 years of experience preferred; 7-10 years acceptable.
• Immediate joiners; last week of November preference.
• Team size: 25 people.
• Mostly remote; Gurugram valued; open to fully remote in India.
• Working hours flexible; no mandatory late‑night meetings.
