Job summary

Tiger Analytics is seeking a data tester with 3+ years of experience in IT/consulting, focusing on ETL and SQL. You will validate data, review models, mappings, and architecture, and transform complex logic into SQL/PLSQL queries.

You will work on data integration across sources, with exposure to Big Data/Cloud concepts. Proficiency in Python and defect logging is beneficial, along with BI tool knowledge.

Qualifications

• Proven experience (3+ years, depending on level) in a Data testing role focusing on ETL and SQL.
• Hands-on ETL with SQL; review data models, mappings, and architecture to execute SIT tests.
• Transform complex business logic into SQL/PLSQL queries.
• Validate data by running queries and verifying results.
• Experience with data source integration.
• Big Data & Cloud concepts understood.
• Knowledge of star/snowflake schemas, dimensions and facts.
• Automation testing on data.
• Knowledge of Python; debugging and logging defects with dev team.
• Collaboration with Analysts, Developers & testers for timely testing.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• BI tools experience: PowerBI and Tableau a plus.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

• Proven experience (3+ years, depending on level) in a Data testing testing role, within the IT and consulting industry with a focus on ETL and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with ETL using SQL, DWH Skills and Expertise: Review Data Models, Data Mappings, and Architectural Documentation to create/execute effective SIT Test suit Ability to transform complex Business logic into SQL or PL/SQL queries
• Validates data by running queries in the database and verifying that the results match the expectation
• Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources
• Good understanding of Big Data & Cloud concepts
• Knowledge of database and data warehouse concepts, such as star schemas, snowflakes, dimensions, and facts
• Hands on experience in automation testing on data
• Knowledge of programming languages E.g. Python Analysis and troubleshooting erroneous results, determining the root cause of defects, and logging defects in defect management tools, including working with the development team on the resolution of Software related defects
• Works closely with the Software development team (Business Analysts, Developers & other testers) to ensure timely and effective testing effort
• Strong analytical and excellent communication skills
• Experience with BI tools like PowerBI and Tableau is a plus
