Job summary

NTT DATA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, is seeking a Data Tester to join our team. You will design and execute tests for data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, reports, and analytics solutions to ensure data quality and reliability.

As part of a collaborative Agile/DevOps environment, you will validate data transformations, run SQL-based profiling, and verify dashboards and KPIs against business requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in testing data pipelines and analytics solutions.
• Ability to write SQL queries for data profiling and quality checks.
• Knowledge of data warehouses, data lakes, and BI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, reports, and analytics solutions.
• Perform end-to-end data validation to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency and integrity across source and target systems.
• Validate data transformations, business rules, mappings, aggregations, and reconciliation processes across data warehouses, data lakes, and reporting platforms.
• Create and execute SQL queries for data profiling, data quality checks, defect analysis, and root cause investigation.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects with data engineers, ETL developers, BA, and QA teams.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and UAT testing for data and analytics applications.
• Validate dashboards, reports, KPIs, and BI outputs against business requirements.
• Support test automation, data quality frameworks, and continuous testing in Agile/DevOps.
• Prepare test execution reports, defect summaries, quality metrics, and test evidence for releases.
• Follow enterprise testing standards, governance, and best practices for reliable data solutions.
