Persistent Systems is seeking a Senior Data Test Lead with 10+ years of experience in data testing and data quality validation. The role focuses on defining the testing strategy, leading a team of data testers, and governing data validation during large-scale migrations from Teradata to GCP BigQuery.

You will design validation, reconciliation, and audit processes using SQL, BigQuery, and PySpark, ensuring data integrity and stakeholder alignment across migration phases.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Testing, ETL Testing or Data Quality Validation.
• Strong SQL skills and data analysis capabilities.
• Hands-on with Teradata, Oracle, MySQL or similar RDBMS.
• Experience validating data in cloud migration projects.
• Experience with PySpark for data reconciliation and validation.
• Proven ability defining test strategies and leading testing teams.
• Good understanding of data migration, warehousing and ETL validation.

We are looking for a Senior Data Test Lead with extensive experience in large-scale data migration and data validation projects. The ideal candidate should be capable of defining the overall testing strategy, leading a team of data testers, driving quality assurance across migration phases, and providing governance over data validation activities. This role requires strong expertise in SQL, Teradata, GCP BigQuery, data reconciliation, and stakeholder management.

What You'll Do:

• Understand the end-to-end migration scope, business processes, and data flows.
• Define and drive the overall Data Testing Strategy, including test planning, test coverage, validation approaches, and sign-off criteria.
• Lead, mentor, and review the work of data testing teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Validate data migrated from Teradata (On-Prem) to GCP BigQuery, ensuring completeness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Design and execute data validation, reconciliation, and audit control processes using SQL, BigQuery, and PySpark.
• Identify data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams to drive resolution.
• Coordinate testing activities across multiple stakeholders, development teams, business users, and project leadership.
• Drive defect management, testing governance, risk identification, and migration readiness reviews.
• Own post-migration validation, production sign-off, and overall testing delivery oversight.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 10+ years of experience in Data Testing, ETL Testing, or Data Quality Validation.
• Strong expertise in SQL and complex data analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Teradata, Oracle, MySQL, or other enterprise RDBMS platforms.
• Strong experience validating data in cloud migration projects.
• Experience with PySpark for data reconciliation and validation.
• Proven experience defining test strategies and leading testing teams.
• Strong understanding of data migration, data warehousing, and ETL validation concepts.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Regulatory Reporting domains
