Job summary

Persistent seeks a Data Steward in Pune to manage customer master data and governance processes. You will validate creation/modification requests, maintain reference data, and ensure data quality across systems. The role requires collaboration with sales, finance, compliance, and IT teams to uphold data integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Customer Master Data Operations Review, validate, and process customer creation and modification requests in TIBCO EBX. Ensure all customer data meets business rules, governance policies, and compliance standards. Manage customer hierarchies sold to, bill to, ship to, global/parent relationships. Maintain reference data (customer types, segments, regions, classifications, tax identifiers).
• Data Quality & Issue Management Monitor data quality dashboards in EBX and address exceptions. Investigate and resolve issues related to duplicates, missing attributes, invalid values or failed validations. Partner with business units to ensure timely remediation of DQ issues. Validate key identifiers (VAT numbers, DUNS, regulatory IDs) using approved tools. Need to work on interface issues with SFDC team.
• Match/Merge & Golden Record Management Review and approve duplicate detection and merge recommendations from EBX. Oversee survivorship rules and elevate conflicts to MDM specialists as needed. Ensure consolidated golden records meet required data completeness and integrity standards.
• Workflow & Governance Support Participate in and support EBX workflow approvals, routing, and SLAs. Enforce data governance policies, naming conventions, and attribute level standards. Support audits, data lineage reviews, and compliance documentation (GDPR/CCPA, PII). Provide feedback for improving workflows, business rules, and stewardship processes.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Cross Functional Collaboration Work closely with teams including Sales Ops, Finance, Customer Service, Compliance, Commercial, IT. Coordinate with MDM Technical Teams (EBX developers, data engineers) for configuration or rule changes. Assist in onboarding and training new data stewards and business users.
• Reporting & Continuous Improvement Track SLA adherence for customer onboarding and data change requests. Recommend enhancements to data quality rules, stewardship processes, and validations. Contribute to standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and training materials. Support periodic data audits and readiness for regulatory reviews.
