Job summary

Jobtailor in Hyderabad is seeking a data scientist to tackle data-driven problems using statistics and machine learning, design experiments, and deliver actionable insights.

You will build and maintain data pipelines, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate findings through reports and dashboards.

The ideal candidate has a strong Python and SQL skillset, data visualization experience, and the ability to explain complex concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred
• Experience with developing and deploying machine learning algorithms
• Proficiency with Python and SQL
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools
• Strong analytical skills and experience with advanced statistical methods
• Organized, detail oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience leading data science projects preferred
• Knowledge of big data technologies and cloud platforms preferred
• Experience with data engineering tools and frameworks preferred
• Available to work 2–3 days a week in the Hyderabad, India office
• Available to work 2 pm–11 pm IST
• Equivalent experience, skills, and/or education will also be considered
