Job summary

TravClan, a B2B travel tech startup, is hiring a data analytics role in Delhi. You will own growth metrics, build automations, and partner with sales, ops and support to improve customer experiences as travel agents book flights, hotels and holidays.

You will work with modern AI tools and live data to drive decisions from week one. The position is based in Connaught Place, Delhi, with a strong emphasis on transforming how travel businesses make money through data-driven concepts and rapid

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data science, analytics, or AI engineering with live outcomes.
• Strong SQL, Python, business analytics, and LLMs beyond chatbot demos.
• Understand funnels, cohorts, RCA, experiments, and business metrics.
• Own output and turn ambiguous problems into clear specs.

Responsibilities

• Take a fuzzy business question and decompose it with a fast recommendation.
• Define growth KPIs and own the numbers that move the business.
• Build automations replacing manual work and deploy with production ownership.
• Ship prototypes quickly and decide what to harden for production.
• Design evals and argue outputs with data, not vibes.
• Own data pipelines, governance, and clean sources.

What we are looking for:

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Take a fuzzy business question ("why did bookings dip last week?") and come back within the day with a decomposition, and a recommendation- not a dashboard.
• Define the growth equation for a business line, pick the KPIs that matter, and be the person the company trusts when those numbers move
• Build automations that replace manual work: agentic workflows, LLM pipelines, structured extraction, eval harnesses, internal tools people actually use every day
• Ship prototypes in an afternoon with Claude Code / Cursor / Lovable, then decide which 20% to harden for production - and own that it stays up
• Design evals before prompts. Argue with an LLM's output using data, not vibes
• Own the data underneath: structuring, cleaning, pipelines, governance, cataloging. If the source is dirty, you fix the source
• Sit with sales, ops, and support before you build anything. Understand the workflow, the pain point, and the pricing conversation well enough to be trusted in the room with a client or a partner.

• Own your output and know how to turn ambiguous problems into clear specs.

You Can

• Build and ship agents, retrieval, extraction, evals, and other LLM applications.
• Identify the right approach across descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
• Smell a wrong number, challenge assumptions, and influence decisions with evidence.
• Build and show rather than wait to be assigned.

The Recruitment Process:

1. 30-min Chat: you walk us through something you built, what it changed, and what you got wrong
2. Live working session: a real problem from our data, laptop open, AI tools encouraged
3. Personal Interviews: 2-3 video interviews. Detailed discussions about the job profile, company & candidature are discussed in these rounds.
4. Extending an offer: On successfully clearing the interview rounds, the job offer is extended to the candidate. This includes financial benefits and many other benefits.
