Job summary

Aditya Birla Capital Limited is hiring a Data Scientist in the Risk-Analytics unit based in Mumbai. The role requires translating business problems into analytics tasks and building robust data-driven models using Python, R, PySpark, and Databricks.

You will collaborate with Policy, Credit, Collections, Operations, and Product teams to drive informed decisions. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and has a strong background in data science, statistics, and AI/ML techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong foundation in data science and analytics.
• Proficiency with Python or R and Spark ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Understand the business deeply and translate business problems to data science and analytics problems.
• Work with bureau data and related datasets.
• Research, learn and implement AI & ML algorithms.
• Build statistical models using Python/R/PySpark/Databricks.
• Grasp business drivers and how data informs decisions and behaviors.
• Collaborate with Policy, Credit, Collections, Operations, Product, etc.
• Present model results to management.

• Brainstorm, research, learn & implement new/existing AI & Machine learning algorithms
• Build statistical models and algorithms using R / Python/PySpark/Databrics
• Develop solid understanding of business drivers and how data is used to drive decisions and behaviors
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and teams such as Policy, Credit, Collections, Operations, Product etc
• Presenting results of models/analytical solutions to management
