Net Connect is seeking a Senior Data Engineer – AI/GenAI to lead data engineering and AI initiatives in a hybrid setup across Bangalore and Gurgaon. The role requires 5+ years of experience and a track record of delivering end-to-end AI solutions using modern data and AI technologies.

The candidate will mentor engineers, drive technical workstreams, and deploy production-grade AI/data pipelines leveraging Python, SQL, Spark, and Databricks with a focus on performance, reliability, and cost

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Engineering
• Proficient in Python and SQL
• Hands-on Generative AI/Agentic AI/ML
• Strong understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering
• Experience with Spark/PySpark/Databricks
• Production-grade AI/data solutions
• Knowledge of data security, PII/PHI, authentication, and RBAC
• Experience with MLOps/LLMOps and CI/CD
• Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS/Azure/GCP

Responsabilités

• Use Terraform and cloud platforms for infrastructure deployment.
• Promote software engineering best practices and independent delivery.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer – AI/GenAI with strong experience in data engineering, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, and production-grade AI solutions.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading technical workstreams, mentoring engineers, and building end-to-end AI and data solutions using modern data and AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical workstreams and mentor junior data engineers.
• Build and deploy Agentic AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning, and BI solutions.
• Develop production-grade solutions using Python and SQL.
• Design and implement RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, context construction, and prompt engineering.
• Build AI features end-to-end, including evaluation, reliability, guardrails, and optimization of quality, latency, and cost.
• Work with modern frameworks and platforms such as Spark, Databricks, LangChain, Dask, Airflow, Dagster, and Kedro.
• Implement data security and governance controls including PII/PHI protection, authentication, and RBAC.
• Implement MLOps/LLMOps practices including CI/CD, automated AI/agent evaluation, and infrastructure automation.
• Work with evaluation and observability tools such as LangSmith, Opik, and Langfuse.
• Use Terraform and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for infrastructure deployment.
• Drive adoption of software engineering best practices across the team.
• Independently own technical deliverables and ensure timely execution.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI / Agentic AI / Machine Learning.
• Strong understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, and context construction.
• Experience with Spark / PySpark / Databricks.
• Experience building and deploying AI/data solutions in production.
• Strong understanding of AI evaluation, reliability, guardrails, latency, and cost optimization.
• Knowledge of data security, PII/PHI, authentication, and RBAC.
• Experience with MLOps/LLMOps and CI/CD.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS / Azure / GCP.

Good to Have

• Scala or Java experience.
• Airflow / Dagster / Kedro / Dask.
• LangChain.
• LangSmith / Opik / Langfuse.
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with coding agents such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex.
• Experience leading technical teams or mentoring junior engineers.
