Job summary

Leading EdTech Company is seeking a data science intern to work on production challenges in education technology. You will move from raw data through deployment and monitoring to influence product decisions.

You''ll build and refine ML models using scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch, and perform feature engineering, EDA, and model evaluation. This role offers growth opportunities and potential full-time conversion based on performance.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL skills for data manipulation.
• Solid understanding of statistics and ML fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with Pandas/NumPy/Matplotlib/Seaborn.

Responsibilities

• Tackle production data science challenges for EdTech products.
• Clean data, engineer features, and build models end-to-end.

About the role:

• You'll work directly on production data science challenges in the education technology space
• Your projects will involve building and refining machine learning models that drive real product decisions
• You’ll move through the full data pipeline, from raw data through deployment and monitoring

What you'll work on:

• Cleaning messy datasets and performing exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns
• Engineering features that improve model performance and interpretability
• Training models with scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch and tuning hyperparameters for optimal results
• Evaluating model quality using appropriate metrics and statistical techniques
• Applying deep learning and classical machine learning to solve concrete business problems

What we're looking for:

• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and retrieval
• Solid grasp of statistics, machine learning fundamentals and deep learning concepts
• Hands‑on experience with data science libraries: Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib and Seaborn
• Demonstrated ability to think analytically and break down complex problems into solvable pieces
• Portfolio of personal data science projects
