Job summary

Polarisk in Bengaluru is seeking an AI/ML Intern to develop and deploy AI systems in a production environment, with hands-on work across model integration, API design, and data pipelines.

You will work with FastAPI, PostgreSQL (with pgvector), and LLMs via Claude and AWS Bedrock, while tracking experiments with MLflow and LangGraph. This internship offers mentorship and real-world project ownership.

About the role

• Develop and deploy AI systems using modern language models and agentic frameworks within a full-stack production environment
• Build backend services and data pipelines using FastAPI and PostgreSQL with pgvector extensions
• Work with LLMs through Claude and GPT via AWS Bedrock, integrating them into scalable applications
• Orchestrate complex AI workflows using LangGraph and track experiments with MLflow
• Own features and components from conception through testing and deployment, driving them to completion independently

What you'll work on

• End-to-end development of AI-powered features spanning model integration, API design, and infrastructure
• Vector database operations and retrieval-augmented generation pipelines
• System architecture and performance optimization across the full stack
• Documentation of technical decisions, code, and results presented to the team

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML libraries and frameworks
• Direct experience with or demonstrated passion for learning language models and agentic systems
• Problem-solving mindset that takes ownership of challenges rather than isolated coding tasks
• Ability to write clear documentation and present technical work effectively
