Job description

The candidate would be primarily working with other stakeholders on data science projects. He/she needs to understand the business objectives and collect the relevant data using Python SQL/R from internal or external sources like Websites, Social media sites, etc

Strong foundation in modeling, statistics, analytics, mathematics and Computer Sciences. Ability to understand data structures using computer programs/algorithms, explain complex data architectures to prepare data for analysis, and make sense out of data.

Strong business acumen to understand the context of the research situation and identify data analytics opportunities to differentiate analysis. Guide analytics process by framing hypotheses and stating research problems to accurately reflect the research situation.

Perform statistical analysis of large data sets to better understand trends and relationships between variables to inform predictive insights.

Communicate research findings using compelling visualizations and well written reports. Design and build data visualizations using diverse sets of structured and unstructured data.

Work on advanced analytic techniques, such as predictive analytics, data mining, text mining, and/or sentiment analysis.

Identify internal and external information sources, build effective working relationships with subject matter experts within the firm and the external marketplace.

Requirements

Ability to explore, identify and use appropriate Python libraries (e.g. pandas, Numpy, Beautifulsoup, scrapy, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn, regex, NLTK, opencv, SciPy, Plotly, etc).

Strong Familiarity with SQL and other database tools to store, organize, retrieve, and manage data.

Should be comfortable in working and integrating with REST APIs.

Working Knowledge in handling unstructured data (using web scraping, web crawling, parsing, regular expressions).

Conceptual understanding of Machine Learning/ Deep Learning/Natural Language Processing concepts.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.

Good to have interactive data visualization skills (Tableau/Plotly/Seaborn etc).

Microsoft Office skills and Infographics.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work well in remote team situations.
