Job summary

upGrad is seeking a Data Science Instructor for Offline Learning Centres in Assam to deliver in-person sessions on Data Science, ML, DL, and related topics to students and working professionals, providing mentorship and academic support. The role emphasizes practical teaching, content updates, and collaboration with Centre Managers to ensure strong learning outcomes.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of teaching experience, strong Python/SQL skills, and the ability to teach both in-class

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of teaching/training experience in Data Science, ML or related fields.
• Strong programming skills in Python and understanding of SQL, Excel.
• Solid grasp of ML/DL concepts such as Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Ensemble methods, Neural Networks, NLP, Recommendations, etc.
• Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
• Comfortable with both classroom delivery and online teaching (camera-facing).

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person lectures and training sessions in Data Science, ML, DL and related domains.
• Guide learners through concepts, case studies, and projects to ensure understanding and application.
• Collaborate with Centre Managers and academic teams to monitor learner progress and outcomes.
• Support students with doubt-solving, mentorship, and building career-ready skills.
• Continuously update knowledge and content to stay current with industry trends and tools.
