Job summary

upGrad is expanding its Offline Learning Centre in Chandigarh, seeking an enthusiastic Data Science Instructor to deliver in-person sessions and mentor working professionals. You will teach Data Science, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning topics, design engaging activities, and assess learner outcomes.

With 2+ years of teaching experience and strong Python/SQL skills, you will collaborate with Centre Managers to update content and ensure industry relevance, while contributing to student success

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of teaching/training experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or related fields.
• Solid communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
• Comfortable with both classroom delivery and online teaching (camera-facing).

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person lectures and training sessions in Data Science, ML, DL and related domains.
• Guide learners through concepts, case studies, and projects to ensure understanding and application.
• Collaborate with Centre Managers and academic teams to monitor learner progress and outcomes.
• Support students with doubt-solving, mentorship, and building career-ready skills.
• Continuously update knowledge and content to stay current with industry trends and tools.

Working Days: 6 (Monday to Saturday)

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of teaching/training experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or related fields.

• Solid grasp of ML/DL concepts such as Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Ensemble methods, Neural Networks, NLP, Recommendation Systems, etc.
• Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
• Comfortable with both classroom delivery and online teaching (camera-facing).
