Job summary

Photon is seeking a highly motivated QA to join our growing data team in India. The ideal candidate will lead testing initiatives for data and reporting projects, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy across source systems, data warehouse (Snowflake), and Power BI reports.

The role requires 5+ years in QA, experience with data/reporting architectures, and excellent English communication. You will design test scripts, perform manual testing, and contribute to automated testing efforts while

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA.
• Experience in data/reporting projects including medallion data architecture and Power BI.
• Excellent communication in English and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and strategize the testing initiative in the data team.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure new features are properly tested, including data correlation between source, data warehouse, and reporting.
• Effectively communicate test outputs and plans for short and medium term.
• Design and implement test scripts and execute them manually.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality and a strong understanding of testing data and reporting projects. The person must have experience in testing data/reporting projects. They willbe responsible forpioneering,developingand implementing test suites, and ensuring that our teams output meet the highest quality standards and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Leadand strategisethe testing initiative in the data team. Be a strong advocate for quality
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure that new features areproperlytested. Correlating data between the source system, the data warehouse (Snowflake) and Reporting (Power BI)
• A strong communicator who is able to communicate the test output / plan for the short and medium term
• Design and implement test scripts and execute them manually
• Experience in automated testing is a bonus
• Proactivelyupdates engineers when issues are identified
• Track and document testing scenarios and results
• Stay up to date on the latest QA technologies andtrends

Qualifications

• 5+ yearsof experience in QA
• Must have experience in data/reporting projects including experience in a medallion data architecture and Power BI
• Excellent communicationin Englishand collaboration skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of ateam
