Job summary

AppSierra is seeking an experienced Data Protection Officer (DPO) / Privacy Compliance Manager to support the organization in managing its privacy and data protection obligations. The role focuses on governance, risk management and data subject rights within a comprehensive privacy program.

The candidate will establish a privacy framework, oversee DPIAs, and coordinate incident response, vendor privacy assessments and regulatory notifications to ensure compliance across data flows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in law, IT, risk, compliance or a related field.
• 5+ years hands-on privacy compliance experience.
• In-depth knowledge of DPDPA (India), GDPR (EU), UK GDPR and US privacy laws.
• Experience conducting DPIAs and privacy risk assessments.
• Strong communication, analytical and risk-assessment skills to manage compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate incident and breach management, regulatory notification and corrective actions.
• Conduct vendor due diligence and third‑party privacy assessments, and maintain a vendor privacy risk register.
• Provide privacy awareness training and conduct compliance reviews.
• Prepare periodic management reports on privacy registers and compliance status.

Required Qualifications

• Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CDPO or ISO/IEC 27701.
