Job summary

Techila Global in India is seeking a Data Modeler to design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business intelligence, analytics, and enterprise data management initiatives.

You will create ER diagrams, define primary/foreign keys, and support dimensional modelling and data warehousing, collaborating with analysts, ETL developers, and stakeholders to ensure data quality and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4–12 years of experience in data modelling and data warehousing.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of dimensional modelling and data warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency with ER modelling and data modelling tools (ERwin, ER/Studio, SAP PowerDesigner).
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration.

Key Responsibilities Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Develop data models for relational databases, data warehouses, and data lakes. Work closely with business analysts, data architects, ETL developers, and stakeholders to understand business requirements. Create ER diagrams, entity relationships, and data dictionaries. Define primary keys, foreign keys, relationships, constraints, and normalization standards. Support dimensional modelling, including Star and Snowflake schemas. Work on data warehouse and cloud data platform modelling. Ensure data quality, consistency, scalability, and performance. Review existing data models and recommend improvements. Maintain data modelling standards and documentation. Required Skills Strong experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling. Knowledge of relational database concepts and SQL. Experience with dimensional modelling and data warehousing. Familiarity with Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and ER modelling. Experience with tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, SAP PowerDesigner, or similar tools. Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration. Knowledge of databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Snowflake. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
