Value Innovation Labs is seeking a senior Data Modeller with hands-on data warehousing and Snowflake experience to design the logical and physical models behind the warehouse and data mart layers, focusing on insurance policy, claims and financial data.

You will collaborate with Data Engineers to design optimized structures that support DBT pipelines and Snowflake performance, while maintaining STM documents and ensuring accurate mappings for policy, claims and financial domains.

Qualifikationen

• 12 years of hands-on data modelling experience in insurance.
• Expert in data warehousing and Snowflake concepts.
• Proficient in Erwin Data Modeler for conceptual, logical and physical models.
• Experience with SCD1/SCD2/SCD3 and handling JSON/XML.

Aufgaben

• Design and develop logical and physical data models for data warehouse and data mart layers in Snowflake.
• Create and maintain Source to Target Mapping (STM) documents for policy, claims and financial domains.
• Define entities, attributes and relationships based on business requirements, data sources and analytical needs.
• Validate transformation logic for downstream consumption layers used by DBT pipelines and Power BI models.
• Run in-depth data analysis and profiling, including JSON payload understanding and complex domain structures.
• Ensure conformance to dimensional modelling, normalization and denormalization practices.
• Work closely with Data Engineers to design optimized structures that support DBT pipelines and Snowflake performance.

Job Summary

Value Innovation Labs is hiring a senior Data Modeller with strong data warehousing and Snowflake experience for a leading enterprise client. You will design the logical and physical data models behind the warehouse and data mart layers, with a focus on insurance policy, claims and financial data.

Roles & Responsibilities

• - Design and develop logical and physical data models for data warehouse and data mart layers in Snowflake
• - Create and maintain Source to Target Mapping (STM) documents, ensuring accurate mapping for policy, claims and financial domains
• - Define entities, attributes and relationships based on business requirements, data sources and analytical needs
• - Validate transformation logic for downstream consumption layers used by DBT pipelines and Power BI models
• - Run in-depth data analysis and profiling, including JSON payload understanding and complex domain structures
• - Ensure conformance to dimensional modelling, normalization and denormalization practices
• - Work closely with Data Engineers to design optimized structures that support DBT pipelines and Snowflake performance

Technical Skills

• - Around 12 years of hands-on data modelling experience with an insurance domain background
• - Experience in data warehousing environments
• - Strong experience with Erwin Data Modeler for conceptual, logical and physical models
• - Experience building SCD1 / SCD2 / SCD3 dimension models and data warehouses
• - Strong in Snowflake warehousing concepts: staging, curated layers and marts
• - Strong SQL skills to validate transformations and model outputs
• - Knowledge of JSON/XML handling, schema interpretation and source payload analysis
• - Understanding of data integration issues, validation and cleansing
• - Experience working in Agile

Good to Have

• - Insurance LOB expertise: Workers Compensation (WC), Commercial Multi-Peril (CMP), Excess & Surplus (E&S), Excess Casualty (XS Casualty)

Soft Skills

• - Strong analytical thinking and ability to interpret complex business logic
• - Proactive communication and documentation skills
• - Comfortable in fast-paced, multi-LOB data programs
