Job summary

Persistent Systems is seeking a Data Modeler / Data Engineer to design and optimize scalable data models and data pipelines. You will integrate data from Workday, Salesforce, and ERP systems to enable trusted reporting across the organization.

You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to transform enterprise data into actionable insights and support analytics initiatives across all departments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Modelling or Data Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Workday, Salesforce, and ERP systems such as Oracle EBS or Microsoft NAV.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database design.
• Experience with dimensional modelling (Star Schema and Snowflake Schema).

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain logical, physical, and dimensional data models to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Develop and optimize data integrations from Workday, Salesforce, and ERP systems using APIs, EIBs, and other data extraction methods.
• Build scalable data pipelines and ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across multiple enterprise platforms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to translate requirements into effective data solutions.
• Optimize SQL queries and data structures to improve performance and enable efficient reporting.

Job description

We are seeking a Data Modeler / Data Engineer with strong experience in enterprise systems such as Workday, Salesforce, and ERP platforms (Oracle EBS, Microsoft NAV, etc.). In this role, you will design and optimize scalable data models, integrate complex business data sources, and enable trusted reporting and analytics across the organization. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to transform enterprise data into actionable insights.

What You'll Do:

• Design and maintain logical, physical, and dimensional data models to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Develop and optimize data integrations from Workday, Salesforce, and ERP systems using APIs, RaaS reports, EIBs, and other data extraction methods.
• Build scalable data pipelines and ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across multiple enterprise platforms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to translate requirements into effective data solutions.
• Optimize SQL queries and data structures to improve performance and enable efficient reporting.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Modelling, Data Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong expertise in Workday (RaaS, EIB, Object Model), Salesforce, and ERP systems such as Oracle EBS or Microsoft NAV.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database design with a deep understanding of data extraction and integration techniques.
• Strong experience in dimensional modelling, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema design.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across complex enterprise data environments.
