Job summary

Persistent Systems is seeking an experienced Data Analyst with strong SQL, healthcare data modeling, and data integration expertise. You will analyze US healthcare datasets, validate data, and support scalable cloud infrastructure and CI pipelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • 7+ years hands-on experience in US healthcare analytics.
  • Strong SQL skills for healthcare data querying and analysis.
  • Experience with Snowflake, MySQL and data warehousing concepts.
  • Ability to create process/data flow documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform healthcare data analysis and reporting across large datasets.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst having strong knowledge on MS SQL, Healthcare Data Modeling & Integration, Statistics. You will help us build scalable, efficient cloud infrastructure. You’ll implement monitoring for automated system health checks. You’ll build our CI pipeline, and train and guide the team.

What You’ll Do:


  • Healthcare Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze large‑scale US healthcare datasets including claims, eligibility, provider, utilization, and quality data

  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze healthcare data from relational databases

  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and transformation to support accurate reporting for business and regulatory needs

  • Work with Snowflake, MySQL, and related platforms to support healthcare data models, marts, and analytics layers

  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure reliable ingestion and integration of data from source systems (e.g., claims processing, provider systems, eligibility feeds)

  • Support analytics initiatives related to value‑based care, population health, quality improvement, and operational efficiency

  • Process Mapping & Documentation

  • Create process flows, data lineage diagrams, and system architecture visuals using Microsoft Visio or draw.io for healthcare data workflows

  • Document healthcare business rules, data definitions, metrics logic, and reporting methodologies

  • Support standardization of metrics aligned with healthcare programs and reporting frameworks

  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with business stakeholders including Healthcare Operations, Finance, Clinical, Quality, and Compliance teams to understand reporting needs

  • Translate complex healthcare data into clear, actionable insights for technical and non‑technical audiences

  • Present findings, trends, and recommendations to leadership and cross‑functional teams


Expertise You’ll Bring:


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, Healthcare Analytics, or a related field

  • 7+ years Hands‑on experience with US Healthcare analytics, including benefits, claims and eligibility data

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing healthcare datasets

  • Familiarity with Snowflake, MySQL, and modern data warehousing concepts

  • Experience creating healthcare process and data flow documentation using Microsoft Visio or equivalent tools

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data validation skills

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams
