Job summary

Moody's is seeking a Data Management Specialist to ensure accurate and compliant contract and customer data across the order‑to‑cash process. The role requires Salesforce proficiency, attention to detail, and collaboration with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Administration to resolve data issues.

Experience with data quality, process improvement, and AI concepts to streamline workflows is highly valued. Bachelor’s degree and Salesforce Administrator training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Review and maintain accurate customer, contract, and entitlement data across CRM/order-to-cash systems.
• Ensure data quality, compliance, and operational accuracy per policy.
• Analyze contracts and data, identify anomalies, escalate issues when needed.
• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Administration to resolve data issues.
• Proficient with Salesforce and configuration/CPQ tools; strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate, compliant contract and customer data across the order-to-cash process.
• Review executed contracts and validate CRM data against standards.
• Process sales orders for validated contracts and changes.
• Analyze renewals to identify data risks and opportunities for Sales.
• Maintain data in Salesforce and related business tools; monitor data quality.
• Complete booked‑verification activities for closed contracts in Salesforce.
• Partner with teams to resolve issues and drive data quality improvements.

Skills and Competencies

• Experience reviewing commercial contracts and maintaining accurate customer, transaction, and entitlement data in customer relationship management systems
• Strong attention to detail and a process-driven approach to data quality, compliance, and operational accuracy
• Ability to analyze contractual and operational data, identify anomalies and risks, and **escalate** issues using sound judgment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across Sales, Legal, Finance, and Administration
• Ability to organize competing priorities and deliver accurate work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce and Salesforce Configure, Price, Quote is strongly preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands‑on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI‑powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use

Education

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, information systems, management, or a related field, or significant relevant experience
• Salesforce Administrator training required; certification is preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate, compliant contract and customer data across the order‑to‑cash process while delivering responsive support to business partners
• Review executed contracts and validate customer relationship management data against corporate policies, standards, and control requirements
• Process sales orders for validated contracts, including approved changes and corrections
• Analyze contracts approaching renewal to identify contractual or data‑related issues, risks, and opportunities for Sales
• Maintain accurate client, transaction, subscription, and entitlement data in Salesforce and related business tools
• Monitor data proactively, investigate anomalies, and drive data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.Complete booked‑verification activities for closed contracts and opportunities in Salesforce
• Partner with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Administration to resolve issues and provide responsive customer service .Contribute to initiatives that improve data quality, efficiency, transparency, and operational accuracy

About the Team

Our Sales Operations team supports the global Sales organization and the broader Moody’s Analytics business across the lead‑to‑cash process, with a focus on request‑for‑proposal responses, contract drafting and negotiation, and sales booking. The team partners with stakeholders across the company to execute business strategy, meet client expectations, and support compliance with legal, financial, and internal requirements.
