Citi is seeking a Data/Information Management Manager in Chennai to lead data teams, oversee data quality, architecture and analytics initiatives. The role focuses on driving value through data governance, strategy, and cross-functional collaboration with risk and operations.

The candidate should have extensive experience in analytics, statistical techniques and implementing analytical solutions, with an ability to manage budgets and mentor junior staff.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in data/ information management or related field.
• Knowledge of analytics, data science, and solution implementation.
• Experience developing and implementing analytical strategies.
• Understanding of business models and statistical techniques.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership and supervision to data teams across projects.
• Oversee database administration, data analysis, data quality, and architecture.
• Identify problems and resolve them following guidelines; escalate when needed.
• Contribute to process redesign and workflow improvements.
• Ensure timely reporting and control over budget and planning.
• Assess risk in business decisions and ensure regulatory and Citi policy compliance.

The Data/Information Mgt Manager provides full leadership and supervisory responsibility. Provides operational/service leadership and direction to team(s). Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. May contribute to the development of new techniques, models and plans within area of expertise. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Generally has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness of end results and shared responsibility for planning and budgets. Work affects an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. Full supervisory responsibility, ensuring motivation and development of team through professional leadership to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations as well as direction of daily tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• This function covers incumbents responsible for various data activities, which include database administration, data analysis, maintenance, data quality, and database management or database architecture / design engineering
• Responsible for following established guidelines and identifying and resolving problems
• Use some independence of thought but to refer more complex problems to supervisors or other experts
• Contribute to work flow or process change and redesign, and to form a basic understanding of the specific product or process
• Accountable for regular reporting or process administration as owner
• May direct day-to-day work of junior level employees, but will not typically have formal management role
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience developing and implementing analytical strategies
• Understanding of the various business models, expert knowledge of statistical techniques

Education:

• Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
