Job description

The Data/Information Mgt Sr Anlst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Expertise Required

• • Data Extraction and Data Manipulation: - Working with the huge databases to meet the data needs for the project and play an SME role ensuring understanding of end to end data processes, system, Architecture etc. SAS hands-on experience is a must, should be an expert in data management using SAS. Should be able to mentor juniors on project needs.
  • MIS Reporting and Data Analysis: – Code, Test and Execute information systems projects. Standardization/Reengineering and Efficient production of MIS reports– achieved by having a standardized data flow, common definitions of metrics and consistent MIS formats. Able to design reports from scratch and use BI tools for efficient report generation. Support business on ad-hoc queries and ensuring quality with timelines

Responsibilities

The MIS/Data Management lead is expected to:

• • Be a direct interface of the team with the various stakeholders
  • Be directly accountable for flawless execution and delivery on meeting the reporting requirements
  • Manage and mentor a team information solutions analyst
  • Continually identify opportunities for advancing the reporting capabilities through process automation and enhancement
  • Manage / Mentor a team of Analysts, Senior Analyst, Principal Analysts in the delivery of respective projects
  • Design and development of MIS / Data Management activities
  • Accountable for regular reporting or process administration as owner
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
• Risk & Control Governance: Drive end-to-end risk management, control monitoring, and regulatory compliance across business processes, ensuring adherence to ARCMs, EUC/ITeSS policies, and quality assurance reviews (QARs).
• Data Quality & Reporting Automation: Implement automated data quality validation frameworks and streamline processing across enterprise analytics and BI environments (SAS, PySpark, Tableau).
• Infrastructure & Version Control Modernization: Champion SDLC best practices and CI/CD adoption by transitioning teams to centralized version control platforms (GitHub) and modernizing legacy reporting environments.
• Tools & Request Intake Management: Develop, maintain, and support custom collaboration portals (SharePoint Online) and automation tools to manage request intake and enhance operational efficiency.
• Audit Readiness & Attestation Management: Lead periodic audit preparation, governance monitoring, process mapping (Blueworks/Confluence), and annual report attestations across business portfolios.
• Change Management & Transition Governance: Direct control segregation, inventory realignments, and operating model updates during organizational transformations and business realignments

Recommended Qualifications

• 1. 8+years of relevant work experience with extensive knowledge of MIS REPORTING /Data Management principles and Information Systems development, with particular emphasis in the use of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Architectures
• 2. Career must evidence the following experiences
  • Program managing a large MIS, Data Management and Control and governance Initiatives
  • Hands-On knowledge on the following technologies – Advanced) , MS SQL Server, UNIX, Automation etc.

• Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
