Job summary

ConveGenius is seeking a Data Governance Lead to define enterprise data governance, master data strategy, stewardship, metadata management, and data quality for the platform. You will ensure trusted, consistent data for analytics and AI systems, and thrive in a fast‑paced, ambiguous early setup.

You will lead governance across business and technology teams, build a stewardship network, and drive data quality programs with dashboards for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Establish and own the enterprise data governance framework: policies, stewardship roles, decision rights, and accountability structures.
• Build and operate the master data management strategy: golden record architecture, survivorship rules, and entity resolution.
• Define and enforce data quality frameworks: profiling, measurement, thresholds, remediation workflows, and SLAs.
• Design and maintain metadata management systems: business glossary, technical metadata, data lineage, and impact analysis.
• Lead data stewardship processes: steward network, issue escalation, domain ownership, and governance councils.
• Drive data quality programmes and build reporting dashboards for business and leadership stakeholders.
• Conduct data mapping and business process analysis to identify data quality gaps and governance workflow improvements.
• Drive data governance initiatives across both business and technology teams — ensuring adoption beyond the data engineering function.

Role Overview

As the Data Governance Lead, you will define enterprise data governance, master data strategy, stewardship processes, metadata management, and data quality frameworks for the platform. You will ensure that critical business data is trusted, consistent, and fit for use across analytics and AI systems. This role is a part of 0-to-1 vertical build. The person joining should be comfortable with ambiguity, high ownership, rapid iteration, hands‑on execution, team building and periods of high intensity work during the early set up phase.

Key Responsibilities
