Job summary

Persistent Systems in India is seeking a Data Governance Expert with hands-on Collibra experience to drive enterprise governance, data catalogs, metadata, and lineage, and ensure compliance with data standards across the organization.

You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, define governance policies, support data stewardship, and contribute to audits, quality initiatives, and AI-driven data initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience eliciting business requirements from stakeholders and translating them into product requirements.
• Strong experience writing User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Product Specifications.
• Experience working on healthcare technology platforms and solutions.
• Knowledge of healthcare workflows, clinical systems, and enterprise healthcare applications.
• Experience supporting cloud technologies and backend infrastructure platforms.
• Experience delivering products on shared enterprise platforms.
• Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and product lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain enterprise data governance processes using Collibra.
• Configure and administer Collibra Data Catalog, Business Glossary, Data Lineage, and Metadata Management capabilities.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data governance policies, standards, and ownership models.
• Support data stewardship activities, data classification, and governance workflows.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, integrity, and compliance across enterprise data assets.
• Document business terms, data definitions, metadata standards, and governance artifacts.
• Assist with data lineage discovery, impact analysis, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Participate in governance reviews, audits, data quality assessments, and remediation activities.
• Drive adoption of governance best practices across business and technology teams.
• Support implementation of governance controls and monitoring frameworks.

We are seeking a skilled Data Governance Expert with extensive hands-on experience in Collibra to support our enterprise data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in implementing governance frameworks, managing data catalogs, metadata, lineage, and ensuring compliance with organizational data standards.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in Healthcare Information Technology or Clinical Technology.
• 5+ years of experience in full-cycle Product Management or Product Ownership.
• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience eliciting business requirements from stakeholders and translating them into product requirements.
• Strong experience writing User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Product Specifications.
• Experience working on healthcare technology platforms and solutions.
• Knowledge of healthcare workflows, clinical systems, and enterprise healthcare applications.

• Proven ability to work effectively with engineering, UX, design, clinical stakeholders, and delivery teams.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to explain complex business, clinical, and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience working in matrixed organizations and cross-functional environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Experience using product performance metrics to drive data-driven decisions.
• Experience with American healthcare platforms is preferred.
• Experience supporting multi-tenant platform architectures is preferred.
• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and enterprise-approved AI tools.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity, requirements gathering, documentation, and decision-making.
