Job summary

Sonyo Management Consultants is seeking an experienced Collibra Data Governance Consultant to implement and support data governance solutions using Collibra. The role focuses on data cataloging, metadata management, and governance workflows in a client-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will work with business and technical stakeholders, configuring Collibra modules, and integrating with enterprise data platforms while ensuring data quality and governance standards are met.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience with Collibra Data Governance and Collibra Data Catalog.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data lineage concepts.
• Experience configuring Collibra workflows, assets, domains, and communities.
• Proven ability to collaborate with Data Stewards, Data Owners, SMEs and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Data Governance solutions using Collibra.
• Configure and administer Collibra modules, workflows, communities, domains, assets, and responsibilities.
• Develop and maintain data catalog, business glossary, data dictionary, and metadata.
• Define and implement data governance policies, standards, processes, and procedures.
• Work with Data Stewards, Data Owners, SMEs, and business stakeholders to establish governance frameworks.
• Support metadata management, data lineage, data quality, and data classification initiatives.
• Configure Collibra workflows and automate governance processes where required.
• Integrate Collibra with enterprise data platforms and metadata sources.
• Identify and resolve data governance and metadata-related issues.
• Prepare documentation, process flows, functional specifications, and governance standards.
• Provide support for Collibra upgrades, enhancements, testing, and production issues.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure effective implementation of data governance requirements.

Job Description Collibra Data Governance Consultant

Position: Collibra Data Governance Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Collibra Data Governance Consultant with strong knowledge of data governance, data cataloging, metadata management, and the Collibra platform. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and supporting data governance solutions using Collibra and working closely with business and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Knowledge of data lineage and data quality concepts.
• Experience configuring Collibra workflows, assets, domains, communities, and responsibilities.
• Understanding of data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating models.
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and enterprise data platforms is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating Collibra with other data/metadata platforms.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and Collibra integrations.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of tools such as Informatica, Alation, Microsoft Purview, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
• Collibra certification is an advantage.

Experience

4–8+ years of overall experience, with relevant hands-on experience in Collibra Data Governance.
