Job summary

Samsung in Pune, India seeks an experienced Data Engineer / Microsoft Fabric professional to design and optimize data pipelines, analytics, and enterprise reporting. You will work with Lakehouse, Dataflows, Notebooks, and semantic models in Fabric and develop Power BI reports, ensuring scalable data solutions across the architecture.

The role involves implementing Medallion Architecture, data modelling, and lakehouse patterns, while collaborating with global teams to deliver reliable analytics

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering/BI/analytics.
• Strong hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience.
• Power BI and Advanced SQL, ETL/ELT, data modelling and lakehouse knowledge.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory/Azure Synapse/Databricks.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines and data models.
• Work on Microsoft Fabric components: Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, Data Pipelines, Dataflows, Notebooks, and Semantic Models.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and Power BI reports.
• Implement data modelling, dimensional modelling, Medallion Architecture, and Lakehouse patterns.
• Perform data ingestion, transformation, validation, testing, and production support.
• Create source-to-target mappings, data flow diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver analytical solutions.
• Optimize pipelines and reports for performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Work extensively on Microsoft Fabric: Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, Data Pipelines, Dataflows, Notebooks, and Semantic Models.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, datasets, semantic models, and Power BI reports.
• Implement data modelling, dimensional modelling, Medallion Architecture, and Lakehouse patterns.
• Perform data ingestion, transformation, validation, testing, and production support.
• Create source-to-target mappings, data flow diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
• Optimize pipelines and reports for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Requirements:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Good to have: SAP data / SAP data structures, HANA modelling, SAP BusinessObjects, Tableau, and enterprise reporting experience.
• Experience working with global / cross-functional teams.
