Job summary

Ray Business Technologies is seeking a Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to design and implement scalable data platforms using Fabric and Azure data services. The role focuses on building Pipelines, Medallion architecture, and data models while enabling Power BI reporting for business users.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Fabric, PySpark, SQL, Python, and Azure data tools, and will contribute to modernization and migration efforts of existing pipelines.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (1 year).
• Expertise in PySpark, SQL, and Python.
• Experience with Azure data ecosystem tools.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, lakehouse architecture, and ETL/ELT design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data solutions using Fabric Lakehouse, OneLake, pipelines.
• Implement Medallion Architecture and optimized data models.
• Develop Power BI models, implement RLS, incremental refresh, and performance tuning.
• Refactor legacy pipelines into Fabric-based solutions and migrate SSIS/On-prem to cloud.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in building modern data platforms. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable data solutions using Fabric and Azure data services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Engineering & Development

• Design and build data solutions using:
• Lakehouse, Warehouse, and OneLake in Fabric
• Fabric Data Pipelines and Dataflows Gen2
• Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using:
• Azure Data Factory
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Azure Databricks
• Implement transformations using PySpark / Python notebooks

2. Data Modeling & Architecture Implementation

• Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold layers)
• Develop optimized data models (star/snowflake schemas)
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance
• Work with architects to align with data governance and standards

3. Power BI Development

• Build and optimize Power BI semantic models using Power BI
• Implement:
• Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Incremental refresh
• Aggregations and performance tuning
• Create reusable datasets and dashboards for business users

4. Modernization & Migration

• Contribute to migration initiatives:
• SSIS , Fabric
• ADF / Synapse /Fabric Pipelines
• On-prem SQL /OneLake
• Refactor legacy pipelines into modern Fabric-based solutions

Required Skills
