Job summary

Persistent is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and platforms supporting critical reporting and analytics. The role emphasizes ETL/ELT development, data integration, and enterprise data engineering with mandatory BFSI/insurance domain experience.

You will work across cloud data platforms, data modelling concepts, and robust governance, while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions and modern data

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of data engineering and ETL experience.
• Hands-on with Informatica, ADF, Databricks or SSIS.
• Strong SQL and database development skills.
• Experience with Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL or BigQuery.
• Data Lake/Data Warehouse and data modeling knowledge.
• Cloud experience on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Git, CI/CD and DevOps familiarity.
• BFSI/Insurance domain experience mandatory.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration.

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in ETL development, data integration, and enterprise data engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and data platforms that support business-critical reporting, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives. The role requires hands-on experience with modern ETL tools, cloud data platforms, and data warehousing concepts. Experience in the BFSI/Insurance domain is mandatory.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 5 to 7 years of experience in Data Engineering and ETL Development.
• Hands-on expertise with ETL tools such as Informatica, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, SSIS, or equivalent technologies.
• Strong SQL programming and database development skills.
• Experience working with databases such as Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or BigQuery.
• Good understanding of Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Data Modeling concepts.
• Experience working on cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of OLTP systems, dimensional modeling, and data architecture principles.
• Experience implementing data transformation, integration, and migration solutions.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Mandatory experience in BFSI or Insurance domain projects.
