Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a senior DC and Private Cloud Architect to lead end-to-end solutioning for DC and Private Cloud towers across enterprise and public sector bids. You will design cost-optimised, resilient architectures covering compute, storage, network, and virtualization, and act as the technical anchor through qualification, BAFO, and contract signature.

• Lead end-to-end DC and Private Cloud towers in RFPs/RFIs/RFQs.
• Design cost-optimised, resilient private cloud solutions across compute/storage/network/virtualisation.
• Act as technical anchor in bid pursuits from qualification to BAFO and contract.
• Design hybrid DC solutions across co-location, on-premise, and hyperscaler-adjacent facilities.
• Architect compute/storage/backup/DR landscapes using major vendors.
• Define DC network fabric, SDN, micro-segmentation, and east-west security.
• Design private cloud platforms on VMware Cloud Foundation, Nutanix, OpenShift, Azure Stack HCI/OpenStack.
• Embed automation-first operations with internal/3rd party tools.

• Define self-service, multi-tenant, and chargeback/showback models with tools like vRA/Aria.
• Embed container platforms (Tanzu/OpenShift/Rancher) into private cloud reference architectures.
• Build DC-as-a-Service, IaaS, and PaaS consumption models with SLA-backed service catalogs.
• Own solution narratives, method statements, and win-themes for DC & Private Cloud towers.
• Represent solutions in clarification calls, solution defence, orals, and BAFO with client evaluators.

Role Summary

• Lead end-to-end solutioning for Data Centre (DC) and Private Cloud towers in enterprise and public sector RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs
• Design cost-optimised, resilient, and outcome-driven solutions covering compute, storage, network, virtualisation, and private cloud platforms
• Act as the technical anchor in bid pursuits, from qualification through orals, BAFO, and contract signature
• Design hybrid DC solutions across co-location, on-premise, and hyperscaler-adjacent facilities
• Architect compute, storage, backup, and DR landscapes using Dell, HPE, Cisco UCS, Lenovo, NetApp, Pure Storage, Hitachi
• Define DC network fabric, SDN, micro-segmentation, and east-west security
• Design BCP/DR strategies covering RPO/RTO tiers, active-active, active-passive, pilot light, and cyber-recovery vaults
• Architect private cloud platforms on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), Nutanix, Red Hat OpenShift, Azure Stack HCI/Hub, and OpenStack
• Design hyperconverged (HCI), composable, and software-defined infrastructure stacks
• Define self-service, multi-tenant, and chargeback/showback models with tools like vRA/Aria, Morpheus, ServiceNow CMP
• Embed container platforms (Tanzu, OpenShift, Rancher) into private cloud reference architectures
• Embed automation-first operations using internal and 3rd party automation platforms/tools
• Design DC-as-a-Service, IaaS, and PaaS consumption models with SLA-backed service catalogues
• Own solution narratives, method statements, executive summaries, and win-themes for DC & Private Cloud towers
• Interpret evaluation criteria and scoring rubrics to shape response strategy and maximise scoring
• Build T-shirt sizing, BoM, effort estimates, resource pyramids, and TCO/ROI models
• Represent solutions in clarification calls, solution defence, orals, and BAFO with client evaluators
• Partner with OEMs and hyperscalers for co-sell, funding, and joint value.
• Collaborate with Sales, Bid Management, Commercial, Legal, Delivery, and Transition teams for integrated proposals
• Build reusable assets such as reference architectures, response templates, case studies, and POVs
