Job summary

The Management Recruitment Group (MRG) is seeking a Senior Designer/Design Manager to lead the design and execution of large-scale Data Center and Critical Facilities projects from concept through completion.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain strong client relationships while driving excellence across all project phases—from programming to post-occupancy support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and professional registration preferred.
• 12-15 years of experience in architecture and design delivery.
• Strong leadership, client management, and project budgeting skills.
• Proven track record across full lifecycle of large projects.
• Expertise in BIM workflows and design visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple Data Center and Critical Facilities projects from concept through completion.
• Oversee all project phases including programming, planning, documentation, construction administration, and post-occupancy support.
• Build and maintain client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
• Manage scope, contracts, budgets, schedules, staffing, consultants, vendors and stakeholders.
• Establish project objectives and drive teams toward successful outcomes.
• Track financial performance and ensure alignment with contracts.
• Mentor multidisciplinary project teams and foster collaboration.

Looking for an experienced Senior Designer / Design Manager to lead the design and execution of large-scale Data Center and Critical Facilities projects from concept through completion.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery on schedule and within budget.
• Oversee all project phases including:
  • Project setup
  • Programming and planning
  • Documentation
  • Construction administration
  • Post-occupancy support
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
• Manage project scope, contracts, fees, budgets, schedules, staffing, consultants, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Establish clear project objectives and drive teams toward successful outcomes.
• Track project financial performance and ensure alignment with contractual requirements.
• Mentor and lead multidisciplinary project teams while fostering collaboration and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
• Licensed/Registered Architect preferred
• 12-15 years of professional experience
• Strong understanding of building codes, construction methodologies, and building systems
• Experience across the complete project lifecycle
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, scope, and team performance
• Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
