Job summary

Tech Mahindra invites a data architecture leader to guide enterprise data strategy and architecture. You will design cloud-native data platforms on Microsoft Azure, define standards and blueprints, and collaborate with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to enable secure, scalable data usage.

Responsibilities include governance, integration oversight, and evaluating new technologies to continuously enhance data platform capabilities in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in data architecture within enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure data services (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, Purview).
• Deep understanding of data modeling and ETL/ELT processes; modern data architecture principles.

• Architect and deliver modern, cloud-native data platforms using Microsoft Azure technologies.
• Define data architecture standards, blueprints, and best practices to ensure scalability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to enable efficient data integration and usage.
• Provide architectural oversight for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption layers.
• Drive data governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to continuously improve data platform capabilities.

What We Are Looking For

• Solid experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related disciplines within enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure data services such as Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, and Purview.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and modern data architecture principles (e.g., data fabric).
• Proven ability to design scalable and secure data solutions across complex, distributed systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working in regulated industries or environments with strong data governance requirements is a plus.
