Job summary

Sunovaa Tech Bengaluru seeks an experienced Data Architect/Data Engineer to design and maintain enterprise data architectures on Azure and AWS. You will build data lakes, warehouses, and modern platforms while defining governance, quality, and lineage standards.

You will deliver scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, real-time data integration, and API solutions, collaborating with security and business teams. Expertise in cloud data services and certifications is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Cloud Data Platforms.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Strong expertise in Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, AWS Glue, Redshift, S3, and DynamoDB.
• Experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Lineage, and Data Quality.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, ETL/ELT, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Lakehouse Architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data architectures on Azure and AWS using cloud-native services.

• Define and implement Data Governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and enterprise security policies.

• Collaborate with business, security, and platform teams to deliver secure and governed data solutions.
• Implement automation using CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation/Azure DevOps).
• Prepare architecture documentation, governance models, and technical blueprints.

• Understanding of Data Mesh, Event-Driven Architecture, and Serverless technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud security, encryption, IAM, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Azure/AWS Data or Solution Architect certifications are an added advantage.
