Job summary

Impelsys seeks an experienced Senior Data Architect to lead enterprise data platforms and modern architectures across the organization. You will define data strategy, set architecture standards, govern data assets, and provide technical leadership for cloud-native solutions in collaboration with business and technology teams.

You will guide data modeling, MDM, data lineage, and governance, while driving scalable Data Lake/Warehouse/ Fabric initiatives and cloud migrations.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Enterprise Data Architecture and Data Governance.
• Deep expertise in AWS services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, IAM, Athena, ECS/EKS).
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Apache Airflow, DBT, Spark/PySpark and modern ETL/ELT architectures.
• Experience with Data Fabric, cloud migration, CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the enterprise data architecture roadmap aligned with business and technology strategy.
• Design scalable, secure, and high‑performance data platforms on AWS.
• Lead the design and governance of enterprise/master data models, ensuring consistency across systems.
• Define and implement survivorship rules, master data management, and data quality frameworks.
• Establish and govern data lineage, metadata management, schema governance, and data architecture standards.
• Architect modern Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Data Fabric solutions.
• Drive architectural decisions for ETL/ELT frameworks, real‑time and batch data processing, and cloud migration initiatives.
• Collaborate with business leaders, enterprise architects, product teams, and engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
• Conduct architecture reviews, define best practices, and mentor architects and data engineering teams.
• Ensure platform scalability, security, compliance, performance optimization, and cost efficiency.

• Experience with Data Fabric, cloud migration, CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and mentoring capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Data Analytics Certification.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, or other modern data platforms.
• Exposure to AI/ML data platforms and enterprise analytics is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic decision‑making skills.
