Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Data & Analytics – Fund Accounting – Associate in Mumbai to support APAC Fund Accounting operations and drive the change agenda. You will build MI/KPIs, dashboards, and governance packs to monitor productivity, aging, SLA adherence, and risk hotspots, ensuring data quality and auditability.

Responsibilities include analytics on breaks and reconciliations, automation and low-code solutions, and collaboration with Operations, Controls, and Technology to align definitions

Qualifications

• CA / MBA / Post Graduate with minimum 4 years of relevant experience in data analytics, operations transformation, automation, MI/reporting, or project delivery within financial services.
• Hands-on or strong working knowledge of analytics and low-code/automation products.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain operational MI/KPIs, dashboards, and governance packs to track productivity, breaks, aging, SLA adherence, and risk hotspots.
• Perform root-cause analytics on breaks, exceptions, and reconciliations to identify systemic drivers and prioritize fixes.
• Establish data quality checks and monitoring routines to improve accuracy, consistency, and auditability of reporting.
• Partner with Operations, Controls, and Technology to define data definitions, metric logic, and source-of-truth alignment.
• Identify high-impact opportunities to eliminate manual steps and reduce operational risk through automation and analytics.
• Translate business problems into structured requirements/user stories; support solution design, UAT, implementation readiness, and adoption.
• Develop and/or coordinate workflow automation/RPA and low-code solutions, ensuring fit-for-purpose design and resilience and Ensure solutions embed strong controls: audit trails, evidence retention, maker-checker, access controls, exception handling, and clear runbooks.
• Manage cross-functional initiatives impacting operations, controls, and reporting: scope, milestones, RAID, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.
• Apply structured change management practices to ensure sustainable outcomes.
• Create and maintain SOPs, desk procedures, quick reference guides, and knowledge repositories with version control and Track training completion and proficiency.
• Create executive-ready PowerPoint decks and narrative updates using operational data and standardized reporting templates.

This is a unique opportunity for you to work in the fund accounting analytics team to partner with the Business. As a Data & Analytics – Fund Accounting – Associate within Global Fund Services (GFS) supporting APAC Fund Accounting operations and the change agenda, you will promote data-analytics-led operational excellence across processes, controls, and reporting. You will build and maintain operational MI/KPIs, dashboards, and governance packs to track productivity, breaks, aging, SLA adherence, and risk hotspots, while establishing data quality checks and monitoring routines to enhance accuracy, consistency, and auditability.

• Create executive-ready PowerPoint decks and narrative updates (context → insight → impact → action) using operational data and Standardize reporting templates and storytelling constructs to improve consistency and stakeholder clarity across APAC.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills

• Qualification: CA / MBA / Post Graduate with Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in data analytics, operations transformation, automation, MI/reporting, or project delivery within financial services.
• Hands-on or strong working knowledge of analytics and “low-code/automation” products, including:
• Alteryx (data preparation, workflow-based analytics)
• Tableau (dashboarding, KPI visualization, user-facing MI)
• UI Path (RPA / automation design and delivery support)
• Strong analytical skills: ability to work with datasets, define metrics, analyze trends/outliers, and drive decisions with evidence.
• Strong foundation in accounting/process controls (ability to interpret reconciliations, breaks, operational risk indicators, and control evidence).

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills

• Prior exposure to Fund Accounting / GFS / NAV generation cycle (pricing, accruals, FX, reconciliations, corporate actions impact, validations, NAV packs).
• Capital markets knowledge (equities, fixed income, FX; derivatives exposure a plus).
• Any additional experience with Python, SQL, Excel Power Query/Power Pivot, or similar tooling is beneficial
• Experience building dashboards and operational reporting packs for governance.
• Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma / PMP / Agile fundamentals (nice to have).
