Barclays is seeking a Data Analytics & BI Engineer in Pune to spearhead digital innovation and enhance customer experiences. The role requires 7+ years of experience, focusing on BI engineering capabilities, including report design and data modelling.

To be successful as a “Data Analytics & BI Engineer - IDL Technology", you should have experience with:
Strong BI engineering capability, including semantic model design, DAX measures, report design, performance tuning, row-level security and workspace / deployment pipeline management.
Strong SQL and data modelling expertise to produce curated, explainable and trusted datasets.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau or Qlik and strong data storytelling skills. observability and auditability.
Minimum experience required 7 years.
Minimum Qualification – bachelor’s degree.
Experience with streaming / event-driven technologies such as Kafka, Spark or structured streaming.
Experience working in regulated environments with secure-by-design controls, retention, access governance and evidencing requirements.
Experience building and operating reliable production-grade data pipelines, including near-real-time or streaming patterns, with strong controls around quality, reconciliation.
This role will be based out of Pune.
To support the bank's decision-making processes by providing timely, accurate, and insightful information through designing, developing, and maintaining management reports, compelling visualisations and dashboards that effectively communicate key performance indicators (KPIs), data insights and trends across various business units.
Design and development of comprehensive reports and dashboards utilisng best practices in data visualisation principles and design aesthetics to ensure clarity, accuracy, and accessibility.
Design, development and implementation of automated report generation processes and visualisation methodologies for improved efficiency and timeliness.
Identification and analysis of business requirements to define report content and format.
Maintenance and updating of existing reports and dashboards to reflect changing business needs, including co-ordination of reporting template releases and related administrative tasks.
Development of robust processes & controls for collating input data, performing exploratory data analysis & data cleansing and seeking signoffs as required.
Engagement with stakeholders as needed to ensure up to date data is incorporated into reporting and visualisations.
