Job summary

ALTEN India in Chennai is seeking a data analyst to analyze data with Python and industry libraries, and to retrieve data from diverse sources. You will build automated data tools, reporting and visualizations for EV/HEV propulsion use cases, and contribute to testing and documentation with GitHub.

You will develop Python applications for Windows and Linux, work with big data tools, and communicate findings clearly while staying organized and detail-oriented.

Qualifications

• 2+ years analyzing data using Python data science libraries.
• 2+ years retrieving and processing data from various sources.
• 4+ years data retrieval and analysis with Python.
• Experience with big data tools (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, GCP).
• Experience developing Python applications for Windows and Linux.
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Use Python to develop automated data retrieval, processing, and aggregation tools.
• Create standardized reporting tools, metrics, and visualizations for EV/HEV propulsion use cases.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in analyzing data using industry-standard Python data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Dask, etc.) (Mandatory).
• 2+ years of experience in retrieving and processing data from a variety of data sources (file-based data sources, databases, RESTful web APIs, etc.) (Mandatory).
• 4+ years of demonstrated experience with data retrieval and analysis using Python
• Experience with big data tools and methods (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, GCP)
• Experience developing Python applications for both Windows and Linux
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

Responsibilities

Develop Cutting-edge Data Analytics Solutions To Solve Complex Electrified Propulsion Systems Challenges And Improve Customer Experience Advanced EV/HEV Vehicles

• Use Python to develop automated tools for retrieving, processing, and aggregating data from a variety of different internal and 3rd party data sources.
• Create standardized reporting tools, metrics, and visualizations to support EV/HEV propulsion use cases.
• Create and maintain unit tests of core software functionality to ensure robustness across different compute environments.
• Use version control systems (GitHub) to maintain software traceability and perform documentation of code, data, and processes.
