Job summary

Syneos Health India Private Limited seeks a Data Analyst I to join the Clinical Solutions team, delivering data-driven insights to accelerate drug development and commercialization efforts.

You will develop and optimize SQL queries, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure data quality across Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and related pipelines, with exposure to Veeva/Salesforce integrations and EST-aligned support hours.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional experience in data analysis, data engineering, or ETL.
• Must hold an Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) certification.
• Databricks certifications are highly desirable.
• Experience with root cause analysis and production troubleshooting.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.

Job Responsibilities Primary Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, including joins and Common Table Expressions (CTEs), for data extraction and transformation.
• Proven ability to lead client engagements and present complex findings.
• Able to work independently without the needs for close supervision and collaboratively as part of cross team efforts.
• Extremely strong organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to details.
• Ensure business logic and data quality checks are implemented and functioning correctly within ADF and Databricks pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues by conducting detailed root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure timely data delivery by tracking system performance and proactively addressing issues within defined SLAs.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to support operational and analytical data needs.
• Maintain strong documentation practices to ensure continuity and clarity across the team.
• Work closely with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and understand release processes (Dev to Ops Handover) and have experience on release management.
• Understand data integrations with third-party platforms such as Veeva CRM and Salesforce.
• Provide support during shift hours as per business requirements in EST time zones.
• Communicate effectively within team and across departments to align on objectives and tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in data analysis, data engineering, or ETL processes.
• Must hold an Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) certification.
• Databricks certifications are highly desirable.
• Experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
