Job summary

NatWest Group is seeking a Business Data Analyst for its Front Office, VP level. The role involves hands-on analysis of complex bank data to identify business issues and opportunities, delivering high quality analytics to support innovative processes and problem resolution across the bank.

You will perform data extraction, storage, manipulation and analysis, and develop queries to ensure data quality. Expect 45 hours per week and a dynamic, high-impact environment in Gurgaon, India.

Qualifications

  • At least 12 years of total experience in financial markets, with exposure to valuation, pricing and product control or related functions.
  • In-depth understanding of financial instruments including Fixed Income, FX, Equities, Derivatives, and OTC products, and their valuation methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Excel and SQL for data querying and modelling, with experience in data visualization tools.
  • Experience with data governance, regulatory compliance and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing and analysis, and develop standard queries to ensure data quality.
  • Conduct daily/month-end price testing and analyze pricing setups for various products.
  • Lead automation initiatives to improve processes, reliability and efficiency of market data.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and validate model governance; maintain data integrity.

Business Data Analyst, Front Office, VP

Join us as a Data Analyst Take on a new challenge in a cutting edge data team, in which youll manage the analysis of complex bank, franchise or function data to identify business issues and opportunities Well look to you to provide high quality analytical input to help develop and implement innovative processes and resolve problems across the bank This is a hands on role in which you'll hone your data analysis expertise and gain valuable experience in a dynamic area of our business

What you'll do

As a Data Analyst, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of high quality business solutions. Youll be performing data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing and analysis, alongside developing and performing standard queries to ensure data quality and identify data inconsistencies and missing data.

Day-to-day, you'll also be:
  • Conducting daily and monthend price testing, calculating reserves and managing adjustments to ensure accuracy, particularly for complex products such as CDS, Bonds and Exotic Options
  • Performing detailed analysis of pricing setup for different products
  • Leading initiatives to automate processes, increase efficiency and improve the reliability of market data
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, validating model governance and managing data quality
The skills you'll need
  • At least 12 years of total experience in financial markets, with strong exposure to valuation, pricing, and product control or related functions
  • In-depth understanding of financial instruments including Fixed Income, FX, Equities, Derivatives, and OTC products, along with their valuation methodologies and pricing frameworks
  • Ability to perform detailed analysis of pricing setups TDMs, identify valuation discrepancies, and generate insightful reports to support decision-making
  • Good knowledge of Murex Front Office FO, including system capabilities and end-to-end trade data flows from source systems to downstream applications
  • Proficiency in Excel using advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, and financial modelling, along with hands‑on experience in SQL for querying and analysing large datasets
  • Experience in data visualization using Power BI or Tableau, with a strong focus on process improvement, automation, and efficiency, along with the ability to design controls ensuring data integrity, regulatory compliance, and effective stakeholder collaboration
