Job summary

Data Analyst (Commercial Capabilities)

OVERVIEW

We are building next-generation sales capabilities through connected data, using retailer and syndicated sources to deliver reporting and analytics for the Noth America Retail Sales organization. As a Commercial Capabilities Analyst, you will coordinate business logic, technical requirements, and analysis to support solution development by technical teams. You will partner with Sales, e-commerce, and other stakeholders to deliver robust reporting solutions, act as the champion for the Reporting Pod, and guide data, process, and enhancement efforts. You will work across Run, Operate, and Transform initiatives, providing technical consultation, writing tests, and building automation to improve efficiency and quality. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, along with the ability to work independently on large enterprise projects and mentor others with technical expertise.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Partner with teams across Sales, Ecommerce and Operating Units business partners to provide consultation and deliver robust technical solutions.
• Deliver Reporting Pod outcomes by bringing together multiple data sources to create a holistic reporting plan for Sales teams.
• Act as the champion and shepherd for all Reporting Pod activities, including data, process, and enhancements.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including Analysts, Data Engineers, PMs, BI Developers, Solutions Architects, and business stakeholders, on business-value-driven projects.
• Support Run, Operate, and Transform initiatives across the full lifecycle.
• Provide technical consultation on data and processes to support business partners.
• Write unit and integration tests and develop automation tools for daily tasks.
• Challenge ideas and assumptions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of solutions.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with stakeholders to support product strategy and data deliverables.
• Serve as a data expert for commercial data teams by understanding key business use cases and providing thoughtful analysis and recommendations.
• Learn complex business processes, operations, and strategy to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Gather project requirements from downstream teams, translate them into technical documentation, and communicate throughout the development process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Education Full-time graduation from an accredited university
• Minimum years of experience required is 3-5 years in Analytics.
• Experience with Big Query and experience with writing SQL queries.
• Ability to learn complex business processes, operations, and strategy to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Good understanding of agile methodologies and practices to assist with managing timelines and task prioritization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Understanding of Google Cloud platform and its best practices, standards, tools, and documentation for analytical technologies
• Understanding of Sales data sets, POS data across different customers.
• Onboard and help other developers and analysts on the team.
• Provide insights and recommendations on business process or solution improvements.
