Data Analyst & Market Intelligence -Chemicals & Energy -Pune - 2+Years

We are looking for an analytical professional with 2+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Market Intelligence or Consulting, preferably within the Chemical, Petrochemical or Energy sector. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, Power BI and Data Visualization, along with financial and market analytics exposure. Candidates with MBA Finance, CFA or relevant financial education will be preferred.

Responsibilities

1. Analysing Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy market data to identify industry trends, pricing movements and demand-supply dynamics.
2. Developing Power BI dashboards and interactive visualizations to present market, financial and commercial insights.
3. Writing SQL queries and extracting, transforming and validating data from multiple sources.
4. Applying Python for data analysis, automation, statistical analysis and insight generation.
5. Conducting market research, competitive analysis, market sizing and industry assessments.
6. Analysing pricing, revenue, cost, profitability and forecasting data to support business decisions.
7. Building analytical models and frameworks for market intelligence and commercial analysis.
8. Collaborating with clients, stakeholders and internal teams to understand requirements and deliver data-driven insights.
9. Presenting analytical findings and recommendations through dashboards, reports and presentations.
10. Supporting forecasting, supply-demand analysis and strategic research across relevant industry segments.

Requirements

1. Having 2+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Market Intelligence, Research, Consulting or a related analytical role.
2. Having exposure to the Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Energy, Specialty Chemicals, Fertilizer or related industrial sector.
3. Demonstrating strong hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, Power BI and Data Visualization mandatory.
4. Having experience in dashboard development, data analysis, data visualization and translating complex datasets into business insights.
5. Having exposure to financial analysis, financial modelling, pricing, forecasting, market sizing or commercial analytics.
6. Holding an MBA/PGDM in Finance, CFA, CA, CMA or relevant financial qualification will be preferred.
7. Having knowledge of market intelligence, competitive analysis, pricing trends and supply-demand dynamics will be preferred.
8. Possessing strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management and communication skills.
9. Holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business, Analytics, Chemistry or a relevant discipline.
