Job summary

PROFUSION SYSTEMS invites a data analyst to work on a US-based client, delivering reports and dashboards. You will extract data from multiple sources, model it in Power BI, and build advanced Excel solutions to drive business decisions.

You will interact with stakeholders, document data-pull processes, and ensure accuracy while handling night shifts from Ahmedabad (on-site). Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a data analysis or reporting role (analytics experience, not general BPO tenure).
• Strong SQL — joins, aggregations, subqueries, and the judgment to know when a result looks wrong.
• Hands-on Power BI — data modelling, DAX basics, publishing and maintaining dashboards.
• Advanced Excel — INDEX-MATCH/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts, text manipulation, and cleaning messy source data.

Responsibilities

• Query data from multiple sources — databases, exports, third-party systems — and reconcile it into a single reliable dataset.
• Build reports and dashboards in Power BI, and advanced Excel models with pivot tables, charts, and lookup logic.
• Map and document existing data-pull processes, including feeds into Databricks, so they are repeatable rather than tribal knowledge.
• Ask questions about why a report exists and what decision it drives, and propose better ways to produce it.
• Work directly with client stakeholders — clarify requirements, set expectations on timelines, and follow up until closed.
• Flag data quality problems and blockers early rather than delivering a report you know is wrong.

Data Analyst SQL, Power BI & Advanced Excel (US Shift)

Location: Ahmedabad (on-site)

Shift: 6:30 PM 3:30 AM IST (8:00 AM 5:00 PM US Central; shifts by one hour with US daylight saving)

About the role

You will work directly with a US-based client as their embedded reporting and analysis resource. This is not a back-office ticket queue — you will talk to business stakeholders, understand what they actually need, and build the reporting that answers it. The work spans pulling data from multiple systems, analysing it, and delivering it as reports and dashboards people make decisions from.

We are looking for someone who is technically capable and comfortable in front of a client. Both matter equally.

What you'll do

• Willingness to work the night shift on a sustained basis

Preferred

• Exposure to Databricks or a comparable data platform
• Experience supporting US or international clients
• Familiarity with MS Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint in a professional client setting
