Data Analyst (Central Analytics)

We at Khatabook are looking for a Data Analyst to help streamline our analytics operations and business decision-making by establishing and upholding strong data governance frameworks; defining and enforcing standards, documentation protocols, and data validation procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance across all data systems and teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimise, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows to enhance performance, minimise latency, and ensure reliable data delivery for analytics, business reporting, and critical downstream applications.
• Develop and refine data models to align with evolving business requirements, facilitating efficient querying, accelerating insight generation, and eliminating data redundancy or fragmentation across systems.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with data engineering, analytics, and business teams to define and implement best practices in data architecture, tooling, and infrastructure, promoting long‑term scalability, maintainability, and self‑service capabilities.
• Continuously assess and improve data processes by identifying operational bottlenecks, standardising workflows, and driving automation initiatives to reduce manual overhead and enhance the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of analytical outputs.

Requirements

• 1‑3 years of experience working with Data/Analytics teams.
• Very strong grasp of SQL and SQL‑related optimisation principles.
• Decent exposure to BI tools (Tableau, Qlikview, Power BI, Cognos, BO, Pentaho, etc.).
• Prior hands‑on experience in creating ETL/ELT pipelines using any transformation/automation platforms like DBT, Airflow, Airbyte, etc.
• Good to have: experience with scripting tools/languages such as R, Python, Spark, SAS, etc.
