Company Overview

We exist to make food the world loves. But we do more than that. Our company is a place that prioritizes being a force for good, a place to expand learning, explore new perspectives and reimagine new possibilities, every day. We look for people who want to bring their best — bold thinkers with big hearts who challenge one another and grow together. Because becoming the undisputed leader in food means surrounding ourselves with people who are hungry for what’s next.

Overview

You’ll own the systems that keep our people and sites safe — badge access, video surveillance, and visitor management — across General Mills locations worldwide.

You’ll work hands‑on with vendors, integrators, and site teams to plan upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and bring new systems online.

You’ll be a trusted go‑to partner, giving you visibility and influence well beyond a typical technical support role.

Ownership, strong relationships, and work that directly protects people, this role gives you that every day.

Key Accountabilities
  • Administer and maintain Badge Access Control systems (e.g., AMAG), including panel and reader configuration, credentialing, and access group management across global facilities.
  • Configure, commission, and troubleshoot CCTV/Video Surveillance systems (e.g., Milestone) to ensure continuous coverage and platform stability.
  • Manage and enhance Visitor Access Management platforms (e.g., SPLAN) to keep visitor workflows secure, efficient, and aligned with site requirements.
  • Support and refine site‑specific Physical Security configurations to keep systems compliant with enterprise security standards.
  • Own and maintain technical documentation, device inventories, IP/network mappings, and as‑built diagrams for every site.
  • Act as the technical liaison with security integrators and vendors that includes statement‑of‑work validation, service reviews, deliverable acceptance, and escalation of recurring deficiencies during installations, upgrades, and service delivery,
  • Coordinate with site and facilities teams to plan project timelines, access windows, and on‑site logistics for security deployments.
  • Monitor and maintain integrations between Physical Security platforms and enterprise systems.
  • Triage, escalated, and resolve incidents related to access control, video surveillance, and visitor management, ensuring timely acknowledgment and resolution per defined SLAs.
  • Ensure platform performance, cybersecurity, and adherence to physical security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Global Security and Corporate Services stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and implement incremental enhancements.
  • Research, evaluate, and pilot proof‑of‑concepts for new security hardware and software capabilities to expand platform value.
  • Partner with Solution Managers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to refine backlog priorities and translate requirements into technical specifications.
  • Support system upgrades, firmware/software patching, and device replacements, ensuring minimal disruption to site operations.
  • Maintain lifecycle and asset‑management records, including warranties, spares, end‑of‑life status, replacement and system upgrade planning.
  • Create SOPs, runbooks, and training materials and provide knowledge transfer to site security and facilities teams.
  • Provide dedicated coverage during rotational night shift hours (7:00 PM – 4:00 AM India time) to support real‑time monitoring, escalations, and time‑sensitive vendor/site coordination.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years of overall IT experience and 5+ years of overall Physical Security experience, with hands‑on experience configuring and supporting Access Control, Video Surveillance, and Visitor Management systems.
  • Experience administering Access Control platforms (e.g., AMAG or similar), including panel/reader configuration, credentialing, and access group management.
  • Hands‑on experience with Video Management Systems (e.g., Milestone or similar), including camera commissioning, network configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Visitor Management platforms (e.g., SPLAN or similar) and visitor workflow configuration.
  • Experience with system integrations and data interfaces, such as APIs, identity/directory services, HR systems, badging systems, visitor management, and monitoring platforms.
  • Working knowledge of IP networking fundamentals (IP addressing, VLANs, network diagrams) and ability to create and maintain technical documentation and as‑built diagrams.
  • Experience coordinating with security integrators, hardware/software vendors, and site/facilities teams on installation and service delivery.
  • Strong incident management skills, with the ability to triage, escalated, and resolve issues within defined SLAs.
  • Knowledge of Physical Security Infrastructure, including controllers, readers, locks, door hardware, video servers, PoE, cabling, UPS, and low‑voltage design.
  • Knowledge of security system compliance, cybersecurity, and industry best practices for access control and surveillance systems.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently across multiple global sites.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and manage external vendor relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical security issues to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work rotational night shift hours (7:00 PM – 4:00 AM India time) to support global site coverage.
Preferred Qualifications
